Bronx River Alliance

The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows. The Recreation Program works to introduce the community and interested groups to the river and the developing Bronx River Greenway through canoeing and kayaking. From May - October, the Rec Team offers a full calendar of public canoe and kayak tours along all eight miles of the Bronx River within the Bronx. Chartered tours for groups and individuals are available as well. We offer these trips as a public service to raise awareness of the river, showcase its wonders, and have fun. We know you'll fall in love with the river once you experience first-hand.
