History

Chautauqua Comics began with a few boxes of comics and a handful of Star Wars toys. Prior to opening the store I attended most of the north east comic book shows. From Chicago, to Pittsburg to Boson. Setting up on weekends. In 1999 another shop located in the area had decided to close its doors and I took it as an opportunity to open my own store. We began with a small collection of comics and a few action figures that I had purchased from another dealer. Over the years we have grown to have over 10,000 and carry exclusive action figures and collectibles. We are now the largest comic book store in South West NY.

We carry Comic Books, Graphic Novels, Toys, Collectible Card Games. Why pay more for Comic Books and Graphic Novels? Every Sunday Monday and Tuesday we offer 25% off on all Graphic Novels and Comic books. Does your family enjoy playing board games? Join us every Sunday to play a variety of board games. Have your own and looking for a place to play. Come on it and play for free. Are you a comic book fan? Then you already know that every Wednesday is the best day of the week. New comic books arrive every Wednesday at 11am. Reserve you comics here, even if you are only here for the summer months. Are you a Gamer? Do you love playing MTG Magic The Gathering? Look no further. Every Wednesday play commander at 5pm, Friday is Friday Night Magic, and Saturday is standard play at noon. Free to play. Enjoying play chess? Like to learn? We play Chess every Thursday night at 4:30 upstairs in our beautiful game room. No matter if you are a beginner or a chess master all are welcomed. Chautauqua Comics which has been part of the Jamestown NY community has something for your whole family almost every day of the week.
