827 Forest Ave
Staten Island, NY 10310
As a child, I developed a painful plantar wart that limited my ability to play sports. A visit to a local podiatrist cured my condition and also inspired me to become a podiatrist. To this day, the most fulfilling part of my work is helping patients find relief and improve their quality of life. Since 1992, at the beginning of my career, I have dedicated myself to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. As the founder of Forest Foot Care Group in Staten Island, NY, I treat everything from common concerns like thick toenails, calluses, and plantar fasciitis to complex problems and injuries affecting people of all ages. I was raised by two public educators- my father, a principal, and my mother, a teacher, who instilled in me a passion for service and learning. I attended Muhlenberg College and the College of Staten Island before earning my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1990. I then completed my residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Additionally, I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (DABPS), a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), and a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine (FACFAOM). In my professional experience, I am also affiliated with Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) and Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH). Outside of my medical practice, I am actively involved in my community through organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis, the Jacques Committee, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. My patients have taught me the importance of being a good listener, and the greatest compliment I've received is being called a healer.
