Cristiano Oliveira, M.D.

Dr. Ciralsky is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her practice interests include corneal diseases and corneal surgery, advanced cataract surgery, laser vision correction, and comprehensive ophthalmology.Dr. Ciralsky received her undergraduate education at Brown University where she graduated Magna cum laude. She also received the Anne Crosby Emery Fellowship upon graduation, an award given to two graduating seniors for scholarly ability and excellence of character. She then obtained her M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She continued her training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, where she completed her Ophthalmology Residency and Cornea Fellowship. During her fellowship, Dr. Ciralsky was elected Chief Clinical Fellow of the Cornea service. She was also a recipient of the prestigious Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship.Dr. Ciralsky has been recognized as a gifted educator. She was awarded Fellow of the Year, an award given by the residents of Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary for dedication and contribution to resident education. She is also actively involved in multiple research endeavors.Dr. Ciralsky is currently accepting new patients. She sees general eye patients as well as patients with corneal diseases and performs laser vision correction procedures. Dr. Sinha specializes in metabolic bone diseases including osteoporosis and parathyroid disorders. She also specializes in obesity and the effects bariatric surgery on the endocrine system. She is a member of the islet transplantation team and is interested in the care of post-transplant diabetes.

Dr. Kiss’s training began in New York City where he received his undergraduate degree with honors from Columbia College and medical school training at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He then moved to Boston to complete his ophthalmology residency and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship, both at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. At Harvard, Dr. Kiss was select by the faculty to serve as the Chief Retina Fellow. Dr. Kiss was then recruited back to New York City to join the vitreoretinal faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College and assume the role of Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Ophthalmology.Dr. Kiss's clinical interests include complex vitreoretinal surgery and treatment of agerelated macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. His clinical and translational research focuses on four broad areas: retinal imaging, ocular gene therapy, novel therapeutic targets for ocular neovascularization, and genetic markers for retinal diseases. Dr. Kiss has participated as a principal investigator in over two-dozen prospective clinical trials and laboratory investigations. He has authored over 200 scientific publications, given over 100 invited lectureships worldwide, and serves on the Editorial Board and as a Scientific Reviewer to a number of major journals. Dr. Kiss has won numerous academic and scientific awards including the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship, the Ronald G. Michels Foundation Fellowship, the Paul Kayser International Fellowship, and the Research to Prevent Blindness Physician-Scientists Award. Dr. Kiss has been named to several regional and national Top Doctors lists, including The Ophthalmologist worldwide Top 40 Under 40, Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors in America, and New York Super Doctors Rising Stars.
