Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, also known as Sacred Heart Academy, is an independent, private Catholic day school for women in grades nine through 12. Located in Buffalo, N.Y., the academy provides Catholic education to more than 400 students every year. It offers a variety of placement courses as well as college preparatory classes for students. The academy provides academic support through its guidance department and the learning center. It also provides individual educational services, assessments and referrals on a case-by-case basis and in consultation with the student s family. The academy employs more than 25 classroom teachers. Its student services include library and media center services, learning resources, and scholarships and financial assistance. Sacred Heart Academy is chartered by the board of regents of New York and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
