James Isbell is a thoracic surgeon who cares for people with cancers of the chest.

I am a board-certified endocrinologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with thyroid disease, specifically thyroid cancer. I completed my training in internal medicine and endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania and was a faculty member at Penn for eight years. I am excited to join the multidisciplinary thyroid cancer team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

I am a medical oncologist who treats people with lung cancer and other thoracic cancers. I see patients at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). I am also the chief of MSK’s thoracic oncology service, where I lead an exceptional team of lung and thoracic cancer specialists.
