Evangelical Christian School

Located in Long Island City, N.Y., Evangel Christian School is a private, nondenominational Christian School committed to the education of the students. It operates as a ministry of Evangel Church since 1985 and serves students in prekindergarten through high School. It is chartered by the University of the State of New York and is a member of the Association of Christian School International. The school building includes advanced computer and science labs, gymnasium, classrooms, sanctuary and a fellowship hall. It provides instruction based on a Bible integrated course of study and a curriculum that includes language arts, English literature, mathematics, science, social studies, Spanish, music, physical education, health, art and computer. In addition, the school provides weekly chapel services; the annual Christmas program and musical presentations; spelling bees, math Olympics, elementary speech, creative writing; and the art festival. Its athletic program includes sports, such as volleyball, basketball and track for boys and girls.
