Founded in 1989, the AIDS Community Health Center, formerly known as Community Health Network, is a nonprofit, community-based organization that provides a range of medical and social services. It is a licensed diagnostic and treatment center that offers medical care, case management, substance abuse evaluation and mental health counseling services. The center also provides neurological and gynecological care, therapeutic drug monitoring and nutrition counseling services. It manages Pleasant Street Apothecary, which offers a selection of HIV pharmaceuticals. The AIDS Community Health Center works in collaboration with various organizations, including the Ibero-American Action League, AIDS Rochester, Alternatives for Battered Women, Center for Youth Services, East House Corporation and Rochester Rehabilitation Center.
