"While there is a food hall here which is a mini version of Chelsea market, we didn't get an opportunity to try out any of the food. What we really came here for was the pumpkin arch and the view..."

South Street Seaport
HistoryOriginally opened in 1974 as a beer and sandwich shop in a flea market which is now part of the South Street Seaport Museum; Jeremy's has moved 4 times since then always remaining on Front Street. Now known for its fresh seafood and Ice cold 32 oz. beers it occupies what was once a filet house at 228 Front St. It is still a family business and when not at the Freeport Long Island location, Jeremy can often still be seen on the premises .SpecialtiesJeremy's Ale House is known world wide for its fresh seafood and ice cold quarts of beer. When in NYC try our fried calamari or our fresh shrimp, which can be cooked 8 different ways. One of the unique ways our shrimp is prepared is as a cocktail, but served hot with drawn butter instead of chilled with cocktail sauce. All our food is cooked to order; even the shrimp cocktail is not prepared until you order it. We at Jeremy's hope to see you, and when there ask for a free bumper sticker.
