We are a family owned business. I'm originally from Ecuador, and I came to the states in 1988. I worked very hard, and managed to purchase "Gentleman Tailor" with my savings. The business was located in Getty Square, and it was recommend it to me by relative. He told me this tailor shop was better that the tailor shop he owned. I didn't question him, so I made the quick purchase. I then realized that the business was dying out, and I was ready to call it quits after one year, because I couldn't afford to pay the rent. I hung in there, because I knew I had the perfect location in Getty Square. After one year, the business started to pick up. I believe it was because of our great customer service, and my tailoring skills which I learned as a boy in my country. Tailoring is in my blood because of my parents. After a few years business started to boom, and I decided to expand into the dry cleaning market. I changed the name of the store from "Gentleman Tailor to "Tailor and Cleaners Inc" which was one of my best decisions I have ever made. My business became more profitable and a bulk of my business is now generated from dry cleaning. I can't believe I have been doing this now since 1995. I'm proud and honored to serve and satisfy all the dry cleaning and tailoring needs of the people of Yonkers. Outstanding customer service, professionalism ,courtesy, and competence is our motto.
