Dr. Finelt is an Assistant Professor and Director of Pediatric Dermatology for the Department of Dermatology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell. She completed her pediatric dermatology fellowship at Lurie Children's Hospital at Northwestern University.Dr. Finelt has been awarded the Departmental Chairman's award in 2018 the Departmental Teacher of the Year award in 2019 and was one of the awardees of Northwell's Teacher of the Year award in 2020. She teaches medical students as well as pediatric and dermatology residents. She is an active member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) Long Island Dermatology Society and American Academy of Dermatology.Dr. Finelt's subspecialty expertise is interdisciplinary based in caring for patients with a broad spectrum of pediatric dermatology needs including vascular growths (such as infantile hemangiomas) vascular malformations (such as port wine stains) eczema nevi and other birthmarks acne genetic skin disease psoriasis hidradenitis suppurativa alopecia vitiligo and other autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. She is a member of the multidisciplinary vascular anomalies team at Cohen Children's Hospital. Dr. Finelt has given regional national and international talks on these topics and others. She has published a number of articles in the peer-reviewed literature and has authored several book chapters.
Sheila Shaigany, MD
Dr. Shaigany is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Dermatology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell. She also serves as Co-director of the Inpatient Dermatology Consultative Service and as an Attending Physician for the Cutaneous Toxicities to Chemotherapies Program in partnership with the Monter Cancer Center. Dr. Shaigany has an undergraduate degree in Theater from Northwestern University and worked as a professional actor in New York prior to switching to a career in medicine. She subsequently earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Shaigany completed her dermatology residency training at New York University. She also completed a research fellowship at Columbia University with a focus on melanocyte biology and BRAF mutated melanoma. Dr. Shaigany is the recipient of Rudin Foundation Grants for research involving the diagnosis of pyoderma gangrenosum and its associated comorbidities, as well as the diagnosis of cutaneous infection. She was awarded a grant from the American Skin Association for her research on melanoma. She was also awarded with a Women s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award for her interest in complex medical dermatology. Dr. Shaigany has authored several peer-reviewed articles that have been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), Lancet, among others. Dr. Shaigany s subspecialty interest encompasses a wide variety of skin conditions including neutrophilic dermatoses (i.e. pyoderma gangrenosum, Sweet syndrome), cutaneous toxicities to chemotherapy, cutaneous vasculitis, cutaneous infection, dermatomyositis and other connective tissue disorders, drug rashes and inflammatory skin disease (i.e. atopic dermatitis and psoriasis). In addition to her interests in complex medical dermatology, she also enjoys seeing patients with more routine general cosmetic and medical dermatology concerns.

Raman Madan, MD
Board-Certified dermatologist, practiced in Manhattan and as Chief Dermatology Resident of SUNY Downstate Medical Center before joining Northwell Health. He provides medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology services to patients of all ages including botox, filler, laser therapy, PRP, chemical peels, and microneedling. He has travelled abroad to provide lectures to medical students and physicians on surgical dermatology and cosmetic procedure best practices.
