Tutoring in reading, writing, and phonics instruction. I have trained in the following research-based literacy programs: Great Leaps, Sounds in Motion, Wilson, Benchmark phonics, Glass Analysis, and Preventing Academic Failure (PAF). I use a combination of programs and strategies garnered from my studies and supervised fieldwork experiences. I also have experience administering the following assessments: QRIs, DRAs, E-CLAS, and Words Their Way inventories. I specialize in working with students who struggle with reading, either with decoding or comprehending written text. I love finding fun and creative ways to provide struggling readers with both rigorous instruction and fun, empowering reading experiences.
