Dr. Galal Elsayed is an award-winning neurosurgeon with advanced fellowship training in endoscopic, minimally invasive, and complex reconstructive spine surgery from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Elsayed has training in the use of augmented reality and robotics, and has pioneered surgical planning using virtual reality/spatial computing for minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal reconstructions. Dr. Elsayeds practice treats the full spectrum of spinal disorders, including disc herniations, age-related arthritis, infections, primary and metastatic spinal tumors, fractures, spinal cord injury, congenital anomalies, scoliosis, and kyphosis. Using cutting-edge technology, Dr. Elsayed personalizes his surgical approach with a focus on safety using three-dimensional planning in virtual reality. A significant portion of Dr. Elsayeds practice is dedicated to revision surgeries for patients who have had prior spine surgery. Dr. Elsayed uses and is involved in the development of cutting-edge surgical technology such as intraoperative navigation, ultra-minimally invasive endoscopy, and the use of spatial computing platforms. Dr. Elsayeds most prized focus is on patient education; he enjoys helping patients explore their own spine in virtual reality during clinic visits.Dr. Elsayed is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Neurosurgeon at Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where he primarily sees patients at the downtown Flushing office. Dr. Elsayed also sees patients at the Weill Cornell Medicine Center for Comprehensive Spine Care on the Upper East Side and at the Weill Cornell NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan facility.RESEARCHDr. Elsayed has received numerous awards for his research, including the Griffith R. Harsh III Research Award and the Richard B. Morawetz Research Award (three years in a row), where he was also named the University of Alabama-Birmingham Clinical Research Buchalter Scholar in 2019. He has twice been awarded a Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SMISS) Young Surgeons Grant and has received the Cervical Spine Research Society Scholarship. He has published dozens of peer-reviewed papers on neurological surgery and contributed a chapter to Dr. Ali Baajs recent edition of theHandbook of Spine Surgery. He has also authored a chapter in Dr. Nitin AgarwalsSurviving Neurosurgery. Dr. Elsayed is also an entrepreneur who founded Neurite, an artificial intelligence company that has worked with the United States Department of Defense and the Advanced Regenerative Medicine Institute for pandemic relief during the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Stanley Guillaume is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine who is dual board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. He specializes in providing comprehensive non-operative musculoskeletal care for acute and chronic conditions such as joint pains, tendinopathies, and fractures as well as treatments for a variety of spinal and neurological conditions, including back pain and nerve injuries. He also serves as one of the head team physicians for New York Rugby Club Women's Premier League team and participates as a physician for St. Johns University athletes in Queens, New York.Dr. Guillaume received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He then attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to earn his medical degree. He concurrently obtained his Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where he was sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH) under the TL1 Trainee Award by the Predoctoral Clinical Research Training Program. He then completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University, McGaw Medical Center/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago), where he won the Sarah Baskin Award for Best Fellow Research.He also completed the Global Health Scholar Curriculum. He then completed his ACGME-accredited fellowship in Sports medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian while also completing Global Health work at Bugando Medical Center in Mwanza, Tanzania to help evaluate and improve musculoskeletal and spine care.Dr. Guillaume has specialized training in using modern image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic therapies including diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound guided injections and ultrasound guided tendon procedures. He has training in using orthobiologic procedures such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) to help improve pain and restore function. He is also trained in fluoroscopic intervention pain procedures for conditions such as low back pain. Dr. Guillaumes research interests include injury prevention, physical activity as well as public and global health policy through his passion for global health.Dr. Guillaumes goal is to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient staying up to date on the latest evidence-based research findings to educate patients to help them get closer to their goals. Dr. Guillaume speaks English, Haitian Kreyol, and Spanish, and greatly prioritizes patient-physician communication so patients feel as up to date as possible with their care and can feel included with any decision-making.

Dr. Prabhav (Prav) Deo is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College who is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He specializes in non-operative care of the spine, musculoskeletal medicine, and sports medicine.Dr. Deo received his bachelors degree in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, graduating with honors. He then attended Rutgers New Jersey Medical School where he earned his medical degree. He completed his internship and residency at Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. He concluded his medical training at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where he completed a North American Spine Society (NASS) accredited Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine Fellowship.He has clinical expertise in musculoskeletal medicine, sports injuries, and non-operative care of spinal disorders. He utilizes a holistic approach with the ultimate goal of maximizing patient function. His treatments include lifestyle modification, therapeutic exercise, image-guided injections, and fluoroscopic interventions. Dr. Deo has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and has an interest in medical education.
