History

Mara's Homemade began in the East Village, Manhattan, NY where Mara cooked homemade family recipes with a Southern/Cajun twist to share with customers.

Specialties

BBQ, Gulf Seafood, Scratch Kitchen, Southern Comfort, Fried Chicken, Chicken Wings, Mac N Cheese. Our Louisiana seafood includes:live Crawfish boil, Gulf Shrimp, Char-grilled Gulf Oysters, and Blackened fish. Seafood, including alligator and Andouille sausage, are flown regularly from Louisiana to ensure the freshest and most authentic ingredients. Southern Comfort foods include: Texas and Arkansas style Barbecue, Mac and Cheese, Jambalaya, Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, smoked bourbon braised Short Ribs. All desserts are homemade on premises to ensure the highest quality from beginning to the end of the meal. A full bar with over 200 Whiskies including Bourbon, Scotch and Global selections plus Tequila, Global Gins and Vodkas are available. Josh and Mara are always on hand to answer any and all questions about any of our selections and much much more to help you have an eye opening experience with food, wine, and spirits. Craft beers are featured, especially Southern and local breweries, with an extensive wine list from all over the world. Take out is available. Specialty Drinks are Southern oriented.
