Ora Pearlstein, MD

Ora Pearlstein, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine and primary care specialist at Downtown Private Health in the Financial District of Manhattan in New York City. Dr. Pearlstein has more than 20 years of experience and values the patient-physician relationship. Using a membership model, she uses a connected, convenient, collaborative approach that puts patients first.Dr. Pearlstein earned her bachelors degree and graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College in New York City. While there, she received the Constance Von Wahl Award for Excellence in biology.She went on to earn a medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, a hospital of Harvard Medical School.After obtaining her board-certification in internal medicine, she joined the faculty at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. There, she was an assistant clinical professor of medicine and served as a course director for the Introduction to Clinical Practice course for medical students.She also worked as a clinician and educator at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, before joining New York University Langone Health in New York City as an assistant clinical professor of internal medicine.Dr. Pearlstein enjoys providing patient-centered care to promote exceptional health and well-being in adults of all ages.
