SpecialtiesGabriel Mattei, MD, is an interventional physiatrist with Northeast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (NEOSM). Board eligible in physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Mattei specializes in musculoskeletal medicine and interventional pain management. He has a strong interest in neuromodulation and regenerative medicine. Dr. Mattei completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at Hudson Spine and Pain Medicine. He completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation through Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe and his bachelor's degree in general sciences from the University of Puerto Rico. In addition to his numerous presentations, publications and honors, Dr. Mattei's professional affiliations include memberships with: The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians The Association of Academic Physiatrists When he isn't treating patients, Dr. Mattei enjoys spending time with his family and participating in a variety of sports as well as listening to music, reading and attending the theater.
