Dr. Sam Senturia is an Attending Physician and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Senturia is a graduate of NYU School of Medicine and has been an attending physician in the Emergency Department at Weill Cornell since 1990.Dr. Senturia is a member of the Education Committee of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He is responsible for the Electrocardiography curriculum and frequently lectures in the Residency Program. Dr. Senturia is also the faculty advisor for the Emergency Medicine curriculum of the Weill-Cornell Physician Assistant Program.

He belongs to the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators, a research consortium of seventy institutions across the United States and Canada that has conducted numerous important multi-center clinical research projects. He was a founding member and a former president of the New York Society for Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He also helped found the Virtual Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and was co-editor of the PedsCCM.org website that was widely recognized as a valuable web-based resource for pediatric intensivists. He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.
