SCHOTT North America is a multinational, technology-based group that develops and manufactures glass and specialty materials. It serves the architecture, automotive, aviation, defense, electronics, home appliance, life science, pharmaceutical and energy industries. The company features products under the AMIRAN, MIROGARD and CONTURAN brands. Its product line includes glass-ceramic cooktops, solar power modules, glass-to-metal enclosures, color filters and syringes. SCHOTT North America operates various business units, such as lighting and imaging, solar, electronic packaging, pharmaceutical systems and flat glass. It uses fiber optics and special glass tubes for designing lighting solutions. The company operates SCHOTT Elecpac, which is a wholly owned subsidiary that manufactures electronic packaging products. It employs a work force of more than 2,500 people. SCHOTT North America is a subsidiary of SCHOTT Group, which manages more than 15 divisions and subsidiaries in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
