Sheriff's Criminal Investigation

Criminal Investigation Section is a part of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. The office offers a range of crime prevention and protection services for citizens. It provides emergency and fingerprinting solutions. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office also operates a records unit and issues pistol permits. The office has the Monroe County Sheriff's Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization. In addition, it operates jail, police, civil and court security bureaus. Established in 1821, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office offers Drug Abuse Resistance Education and Crime Stoppers programs.
