Julia Faidleygrew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, but has called New York City home for thepast 30 years. She was drawn to the idea of birth as a healthy and a normallife transition and decided to pursue becoming a midwife. During those years,she worked as a labor support doula, raised two children, and spent several yearsas a hospice nurse. Julia has also contributed as an auditor, a member of thequality and compliance team, and a clinical educator. She graduated fromFrontier Nursing University's midwifery program in 2017.

Jocelyn Baker, CNM is an advanced practice midwife in Brooklyn, NY. She specializes in advanced practice midwifery.

She graduated from Columbia Universitys Nurse-Midwifery program in 2003 and has spent 11 years caring for underserved communities in Manhattan and NJ. She most recently worked for 7 years in the Metropolitan Hospital Midwifery Service where she provided full-scope care to an amazing community and polished up her Spanish. Prior to becoming a midwife, Shannon studied molecular biology and biochemistry at Wesleyan University while focusing on gender studies.
