Wai Lee, MD is the Director of Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery for the department of Urology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. During his fellowship, Dr. Lee gained extensive expertise in complex reconstructive procedures and also took part in an international mission to Uganda, where he helped women with obstetric trauma by repairing vaginal fistulae. He joined Columbia after working at Northwell Health - North Shore University Hospital on Long Island. Dr. Lee's research interests include novel approaches to neuromodulation and chemodenervation for overactive bladder, as well as healthcare disparities in urology. Dr. Lee has presented his research at numerous national meetings. His work has been published in leading national and international journals including the Journal of Urology, Neurourology and Urodynamics, Urology, Urogynecology, Urologic Clinics of North America, and the International Urogynecology Journal. Marlon S. Rosenbaum is a Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Director of the Schneeweiss Adult Congenital Heart Center at Columbia University Medical Center. He has been practicing for more than 30 years, has participated in pivotal research trials, a respected lecturer and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles. He is the co-author of the textbook, Congenital Heart Disease in the Adult and contributing author on others. Dr. Rosenbaum has led the Schneeweiss Adult Congenital Heart Center since 1987. James Church, MD is a colorectal surgeon who cares for all aspects of colorectal disease, with a particular focus on hereditary colorectal cancers and polyposis. Born and raised in New Zealand, Dr. Church did his medical school, postgraduate research and general surgical training in Auckland before training in colorectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and eventually joining the faculty there. Over the 34 years that followed, he played an instrumental role in developing what was widely considered the finest Department of Colorectal Surgery in the world. Dr. Church has been co-Investigator of the Collaborative Colorectal Cancer Family Registry, funded by a research grant from the National Cancer Institute. In addition, he has served as the Chairman of the Leeds Castle Polyposis Group and the International Collaborative Group on Hereditary Non-Polyposis Colorectal Cancer and President of the Collaborative Group of the Americas on Inherited Colorectal Cancer. These international societies are dedicated to the care of patients with inherited colorectal cancer and research into their disease. Dr. Church’s other areas of interests include colonoscopy, functional colorectal and anal problems including constipation and incontinence, perianal and perineal infections and inflammatory bowel disease.
