The service was just ok (particularly at the door), but the atmosphere and food were great. Definitely get the steak! I'd come back though.

Opened in 2017, The Spaniard is a West Village bar serving fine food, strong drinks and plentiful whiskey, inspired by classic New York bars like Keens, Old Town Bar and PJ Clarke's -- spots that marry a timeless vibe and old school service. The bar's spirits list features 100 whiskies, over half of them Scotch, sourced from around the world, and Chef PJ Calapa's excellent bar food is the perfect accompaniment to the many, and varied, creative cocktails.
