Begun in 1962, Tops Friendly Markets is a grocery retailer, catering to upstate New York, central New York and northern Pennsylvania. Based in Penn Yan, N.Y., it runs 126 supermarkets and five franchise supermarkets. The store houses in-store pharmacies, butchers for meat department, bakeries as well as ready-to-eat prepared foods in the stores' carry-out caf s.
