Since Don Loreman first opened the Business out of the trunk of his 1977 Lincoln Continental in 1979 and revealed his knack for delivering quality goods and services, Loremans' has been privileged to assist a wide range of customers in many places. Loreman's arose from the ashes of a burned-out, 100-year-old farmhouse and the idea that you could take an average product and make it excellent with a little ingenuity and hard work. Today that farmhouse houses our base of operations while our satellite site in Plattsburgh, NY provides an additional showroom featuring our Products, and availability to browse through catalogs. Now, Don's son Thom heads up our operations with the same drive for excellence in the business that Don has always pursued. He has worked alongside his dad since he was a young teen--and worked every possible position in the company--from Screen Printing and Engraving to Artwork and Embroidery now finally to partners. Our company was founded in 1959 by Jerry Baden as Baden's House of Trophies. It has had several names and owners since then, becoming Vermont Trophy & Engraving in 1974. It has for many years been considered the highest quality awards manufacturer in the region. In 1996 we - Steve & Margi Swett ' decided we'd like to try working together curious to see how our marriage and the business model we'd developed through careers in banking, non-profit and economic development would survive and perhaps even prosper. We've been very lucky on both counts! Our plan was to buy a value-added business and focus it on the B2B market by developing long-term partnerships with our clients. Our business model is to offer the finest engraving ' much of it with proprietary techniques - the most advanced technology handled by the most talented, dedicated staff in our industry. We couple that with the highest quality, innovative products and business etiquette which we are terribly distressed to find so rare these days. There are items we engrave which their manufacturers cannot ( Cross and Danforth to name but two. ) We engrave crystal which few engravers attempt and we'd hold ours up to anyone in the industry who specializes in it. Our mission is to find ways to say yes - to be creative in problem solutions - not obstructionist and discouraging. We all answer the phone'there are no menus. There is no production line, just individual production benches used by trained, skilled members of our team.
