Utsav is a spacious bi level restaurant in the heart of Times Square & the Theatre District next door to the Laura Pels Theatre. We are located uniquely on a skywalk between two buildings on the plaza of 1185 Sixth Avenue. There is a bar on the lower level & the large upper level features floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking both 46 & 47th streets. Utsav is a woman owned restaurant serving Indian cuisine to NYC for twenty three years.. Nandita Khanna comes from a family with restaurants in Calcutta & Tokyo. Her father started BAR-B-Q, one of the oldest Indian Chinese restaurants in Calcutta which has recently celebrated sixty years in business Nandita brings the recipes from her restaurant back home by introducing an Indo Chinese menu at Utsav. Her chefs are trained in the Calcutta style of Chinese food, the home of Indian Chinese cuisine in India.
