We offer Study Groups, Social Fellowship and Community Service, and we welcome all who choose to come. Above: Pastor Rev. Marilyn Stevens extinguishes the first Lenten candle, symbolizing Jesus's journey towards death and rebirth. Above left: A special "Blessing of the Babies" took place in March, when two granddaughters of Forest Home Chapel members received a special introduction and blessing, along with their parents, godparents and beaming grandparents. Above right: John's story of Jesus healing the blind man was interpreted for little ones, with sunglasses and a gentle sermon. Above left: A clump of white Lenten Rose blooms at the rear of the chapel. Nearby, daffodils planted last fall are beginning to bloom. After Sunday's service, people strolled out to see these spring miracles. Above right: Forest Home Chapel members were generous in the last month of the Feinstein Challenge, donating a bumper crop of food items to be distributed at the Ithaca Kitchen Cupboard. THE CHAPEL actively supports the multi-faith Area Congregations Together, CROP Walk and the Ithaca Kitchen Cupboard food distribution program. Through the United Methodist program of Apportioned Giving, Church World Service and the Mennonite Missions, members support local, national and international development and relief work.
