Dr. Higgins serves as the Vice President and Regional Executive Medical Director of the New York Presbyterian Medical Group in Hudson Valley and Westchester. Prior to this, he served as the Vice President of Medical Affairs at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital since 2011. Over the years, Dr. Higgins has been active on many committees including Peer Review, Credentialing, Bylaws, Ethics and others.Apart from his administrative duties, Dr. Higgins has maintained a thriving medical practice with his wife, Ellen, a Nurse Practitioner in the NYPMG, for 26 years. He was a clinical preceptor at New York Medical College in Valhalla. Dr. Higgins is well respected in Hudson Valleys senior community and was appointed by the Governor of the State of New York to sit on New York State Coordinating Council for Services Related to Alzheimers Disease and Other Dementias. He is a past director of the Hudson Valley region of the Alzheimers Association.Dr. Higgins obtained his Medical Degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and did his residency and fellowship training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and is currently enrolled in their physician leadership institute. She has lectured and published research on patient care, asthma, diabetes and other health conditions. Dr. Amin speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, and Memoni.Dr. Nadia Amin has been selected by Chancellor Betty Rosa and Interim Commissioner Shannon Tahoe to serve on the New York State Education Departments Reopening Schools Regional Task Force. The purpose of this task force is to guide the reopening of our state's schools when it is safe to do so.
