Wyoming County Community Health Systems

The Wayne County Public Health department, now known as Wayne Community Nursing, has been providing home health care services since 1933. The department offers a variety of health promotion programs and disease prevention and health care services to the residents of Wayne County, N.Y. Its services are approved by the Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The Wayne County Public Health department employs professional physicians, nurses, medical social workers, home health aides, and occupational, speech and physical therapists. The department offers poisoning prevention, migrant health care, tuberculosis intervention, and maternal and child health care services. Its Children With Special Needs Program assists children suffering from developmental delay and learning and medical disabilities. The Wayne County Public Health department is located in Lyons, N.Y.
