The dealership was located on East Market Street in the heart of downtown Greensboro. In September of 1966, the dealership moved to its current location of 601 East Bessemer Avenue at the intersection of Yanceyville Street. Black Cadillac Olds traditionally topped the region in Cadillac and Oldsmobile sales, and continued to provide customer service second to none.Bill Black III became dealer principal in December of 1986. He has led the company through over 20 years of growth and change in the automotive industry. In December of 2000, GM announced the phase out of the classic line of Oldsmobile. Oldsmobile had been the volume product for the dealership, and Bill Black knew it would be a challenge to find an appropriate replacement.In April of 2004, Bill Black purchased North State Chevrolet.
