History
Binki Cafe's original New York location made a splash in 2017 with viral video coverage of its cutesy cotton candy ice cream creations but has since rebranded and closed. The Charlotte location opened in the University City area in January 2019 just across the University of North Carolina in Charlotte (UNCC) and close to the JW Clay Station of Charlotte's LYNX Blue Line -- the city's new and first light rail service. With this accessible location and the Bubble Tea hype, our shop easily gained followers and Instagram was fired up with Binki Cafe's photo-worthy drinks and desserts.

They're located in a shopping plaza so they have plenty of parking. We stopped in on a Tuesday evening, so the place wasn't too busy, thankfully, for a weeknight. We had 6 in total for our party....
