Grandfather Mountain is one of the world s leading natural preserves. It is a privately owned and operated scenic travel attraction place. The park houses various animals, such as black bears, river otters, cougars and eagles. Grandfather Mountain features a restaurant and gift shop. The park also includes Mile High Swinging Bridge, which is spread across an area of more than 225 feet. It features in-park nature and backcountry hiking trails. Grandfather Mountain provides various recreational activities, such as face painting, reading, storytelling, craft making, music and games to children. The park additionally features a picnic area that includes a water fountain and restrooms.
