I chose to become a genetic counselor because I enjoy partnering with and empowering patients and families to understand how genetics may impact them. Medical genetics is a fascinating field with the potential to help us better tailor surveillance and treatment recommendations based on the patient's family history and testing information. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading and watching my kids play sports.
