History

Mecklenburg Medical Group began as a private practice in 1936 when James Moses Alexander, MD, opened the doors to a new medical practice in Uptown Charlotte, NC. Situated in an area that is now occupied by Discovery Place, this new practice operated during a time when there was no Penicillin or ECG machines. Today, the practice has over 100 physicians in medical specialties ranging from internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, rheumatology and sleep medicine in 10 locations throughout the greater Charlotte area.

Specialties

Internal Medicine (adult primary care) services for routine medical needs such as physicals, health screenings and treatment of illness. We offer same day sick appointments through our Express Care walk-in clinic as well as laboratory, x-ray and diagnostic testing.
