I chose to become a doctor because medicine is fascinating and the human body is incredible to study. My philosophy to patient care includes remembering that a patient is a human being and not a number. I aim to educate and support our patients through clear and timely communication with them and family members, and I also treat them with compassion and respect. My areas of clinical interest include blood (leukemia and lymphoma) and gastrointestinal (liver, pancreas and stomach) cancers.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent seven years at the bedside as a cardiac intensive care nurse (ICU) nurse. Those seven years provided invaluable wisdom and experience. Now, as a nurse practitioner, I work to approach every person’s health care journey with empathy and grace. Outside of work, I love to spend my time outdoors with my husband and our three dogs. You can usually find me gardening or growing cut flowers in my spare time.
