Several of my aunts and cousins are nurses. When my sister became a nurse, too, I would visit her at work and see her caring for patients. I was hooked. \n I believe that educating patients is an important part of my job. In pediatrics, that means educating the parents of my patients. I want them to be equipped to make smart, informed healthcare decisions - and I'll give them all the information I can to help them in that regard. \n I was honored in 2023 to receive the Distinguished AAP Award in the Novant Health Coastal region. \n My two children are now grown, and I enjoy traveling with them and my boyfriend. I also love working out, volunteering at church - especially with kids - and restoring old furniture.
