I chose the nursing field because I wanted a profession that was rooted in caring and serving. I chose to become a nurse practitioner because I wanted to be the best clinician possible and advance my skills and knowledge of patient care. Family medicine allows me the ability to provide complete holistic care for individuals. Diabetes management is an area that has grown in interest for me. It is an illness that can impact an individual’s health in many ways. It is rewarding to make progress with clients in preventing or managing diabetes. My background is in behavioral health, so I am also comfortable in managing non-complicated mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Outside of work, I like to stay active by exercising at my local gym or walking around my local lake and trails. When it is time to relax, I enjoy watching a movie, reading or simply listening to music.

I became a social worker because lending a helping hand to others is my passion. My areas of special interest are trauma, depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and stress management. My approach to patient care embodies authenticity, empathy and problem solving. I look forward to joining you on your path toward healing and transformation. When out of the office, I enjoy walking nature trails, listening to jazz and spending time with friends and family.

I specialize in family practice because I enjoy helping patients with preventative care, health maintenance goals, as well as acute/chronic illness. I love to travel, spending time with my two boys and our new puppy.
