Shalyn A Beck, FNP - Novant Health Hillsdale Medical Associates

For more than a decade, family nurse practitioner Lindsay Hartman has devoted herself to medicine. She enjoys meeting and treating a variety of patients and is happy to provide them with quality medical care. While she cares for women, men and children of all ages, Hartman has a special fondness for women's health services. She knows how important it is for women to have a provider they can trust and confide in. As a mom herself, Harman understands the needs of women and what they go through. Outside of work, Hartman enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. They like reading, playing outside and doing arts and crafts. They also love traveling up to Charlottesville to cheer on UVA sports.

Margaret Bovender loves helping her patients understand health issues and find solutions. She finds fulfillment in being able to help people and improve their health and quality of life. Bovender chose family medicine because of the variety of people and cases. She enjoys focusing on nutrition and weight management as a way to control or prevent chronic illness. She believes in personalized care when working with her patients and wants her patients to feel like their concerns are being addressed and their worries put to rest. While away from the office, Bovender enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son. They really enjoy being active together, whether that means running, riding bikes or jumping on their trampoline.
