History

Sisters Betsy Almond and Teresa Farson managed different Artichoke Gift Shops in the Charlotte area during the 1980's. When one of the shops was sold, Betsy and Teresa decided to go into business for themselves. Noticing how busy the overstreet mall was during the lunch hour, the girls renamed the store the beehive. The beehive has continued to buzz for the past 30 years.
