Watauga Medical Center, located in Boone, N.C., provides community health care programs and medical services for residents and visitors of northwest North Carolina and northeast Tennessee. The center s services include emergency, family medicine, cardiology and surgical care. Watauga Medical Center encompasses the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center, Cardiac Catheterization Suite and the Outpatient Imaging and Lab facilities. Along with the hospital, the system includes a network of primary and specialty practices, such as pediatrics, neurology and dermatology. High Country Health Network is the cooperative established between Watauga Medical Center and area physicians out of concern about the effects of current trends in health care.
