Wilsons Mills Fire Department-Station 1

Founded in 1958, the Archer Lodge Fire Department provides fire protection and mutual aid services. It operates with funds collected through fire tax, fundraisers and donations from the community. The department has more than 30 members. The Archer Lodge Fire Department organizes fire safety education day for children. Its staff members also visit local schools to provides fire safety training to students. The department has engines, tankers, trucks, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.
