Founded in 1958, DePaul Adult Care Communities is a private, nonprofit organization that provides assisted living residential services to senior citizens, persons with mental illnesses and individuals who have a history of homelessness. It also offers addiction prevention and treatment programs, as well as programs for persons with developmental disabilities. The organization s mental health treatment and rehabilitation services include assessment and treatment planning; medication therapy and education; discharge planning; case management; verbal therapies; crisis intervention; clinical support; symptom management; and health screenings and referrals. Its addiction treatment center offers various primary care and outpatient services. DePaul Adult Care Communities operates in more than 15 counties in New York and North Carolina.
