Timing is everything and it was exactly how we ended up acquiring Gun Dog House Door from the original founder, Carl H. Altenbernd. We just so happened to stop at Carls on a return trip from an AKC Horseback Field Trial and before we knew it, Carl mentioned he was looking to retire after more than 25 years of developing the company.
