As a psychiatrist, I specialize in child and adolescent psychiatry. I spend the majority of my clinical time working with children who have been traumatized in some way at The Center for Family Safety and Healing, as well as with children in the THRIVE program. In addition, I've been selected to direct the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children's Hospital. Prior to working at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University, I was the director of inpatient adolescent psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City. While working there I learned to care for all types of children, particularly those that tend to be marginalized and underserve believe that psychiatric care should be given to all people who desire or need it. I wholeheartedly believe that appropriate mental health care can save many lives. It is my job as a psychiatrist to provide education to my patients and the public about the importance of staying both physically and mentally healthy and I'm devoted to training the next generation of competent and caring physicians.
