Kidney and Hypertension Consultants, Inc focuses on diseases of the kidney and hypertension. Kidney and Hypertension Consultants, Inc was founded in 1990 by Jehad Y. Asfoura, M.D. The practice currently consists of seven Nephrologists and two Certified Nurse Practitioners whom are dedicated to providing excellent care to their patients. Services are provided throughout 5 counties. There are locations in Alliance, Canton, Carrollton, Dover and Millersburg. High blood pressure is a major factor in the development of kidney problems in people who have diabetes. Both a family history of high blood pressure and the presence of the disease seem to increase chances of developing kidney disease. Hypertension is not just a cause of kidney disease, but it's also a result of damage created by the kidney disease. Physical changes in the kidneys contribute to high blood pressure creating a dangerous spiral.

Dr. Woodward is a pediatrician at Akron Children’s Hosptial Pediatrics. She’s been practicing since 2009 and with Akron Children’s since 2010. She earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed her residency at Nationwide Children’s Hosptial in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Woodward has a special interest in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mental health and adolescent reproductive health. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a clinical assistant professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
