Family Care Counseling Center

The Summit Therapy Center is composed of licensed mental health professionals with a mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on as needed or preventative basis. We address the mental health needs of individuals and families looking for creative, compassionate, and individualized care. We specialize in child & adolescent problems, marital & family concerns, blended families, abuse, stress, depression, anxiety, anger, autism spectrum and many more. Individual and group counseling are also available.

In operation for more than 70 years, Child Guidance & Family Solutions counsels, educates and supports adults, children, families and youths who face social, emotional and behavioral challenges. The organization has a professional team of child psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers and mental health counselors. It serves a range of clients, including families, adults, children and teenagers and schools. The organization also serves its community partners that include the Summit County Children Services Board, Summit County Juvenile Court and the Board of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities. It provides treatment and prevention services to over 4,000 children and nearly 1,000 adults yearly, and employs more than 150 professionals and support staff. Child Guidance & Family Solutions is located in Akron, Ohio.
