Established in 1834, Ohio State University Medical Center is one of the largest academic medical centers in the United States. Specialized facilities located in the emergency department include trauma resuscitation suites, CT scanner, hyperbaric medicine chamber, and helicopters for advanced emergency care and rapid aeromedical transport to the hospital.
