Layla Sankari, MD, is a pulmonary and critical care physician at University Hospitals, specializing in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

Cristian Baeza, MD, is a senior attending cardiac surgeon and Co-Director of the Aortic Center at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He is also a clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Baeza provides comprehensive care for patients with complex aortic diseases. As one of the most experienced cardiac surgeons in Northeast Ohio performing the Ross procedure, he offers young patients a solution that enhances both quality and longevity of life and eliminates the need for multiple future surgeries. Dr. Baeza prioritizes minimally invasive techniques for thoracic aneurysms to help patients avoid open-heart surgery and experience a faster, smoother recovery.
