CSX Transportation is the principal operating company for CSX Corporation, which CSX Corporation owns one of the United States leading transportation companies that provides rail, intermodal and rail-to-truck trans-load services that connect 70 ocean, river and lake ports, in addition to 230 short line and regional railroads. CSX Transportation operates the largest railroad in the eastern United States. It has a 22,000-mile rail network linking commercial markets in nearly 25 states, the District of Columbia and two Canadian provinces. CSXT headquarters are located in Jacksonville, Fla., and employs nearly 34,000 people. The company has a branch facility located in Marysville, Ohio, where it employs nearly 50 people.
