As an Ob-Gyn physician, I'm very fortunate to have the ability to heal the sick and improve the lives of my patients. I care about delivering quality care and listening to my patients' concerns. In addition, I teach a course on human sexuality and am a mentor for medical students interested in applying for Ob-Gyn residenc any of my research interests center on pregnancy. I received a grant from the CDC to assess changes in the immune system during pregnancy. Currently, I'm working on a research project that examines how the bacteria on a person's skin may affect their pregnancy and mood. In addition, I've published multiple papers, and I received a Coca-Cola "Making a Difference" grant to help understand why pregnant women smoke. Outside of that research, I have published multiple articles on female sexual dysfunction and helped run an FDA trial for a new device.
