For over a decade Southwest Aviation Specialties, LLC ( SWAS ) has provided a variety of aviation services including aircraft charter, aircraft sales, management and brokerage, maintenance and parts with a full service avionics installation and repair station. SWAS was founded with a comitment to excellence in maintenance and service to general aviation aircraft from light single engine to multi engine turbo prop aircraft. Expansion began in the early 1990s with the addition of avionics installation and service and a FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate as well as a 145 Repair station authority. We are currently working with companies such as Aeromek and Airinc in research and development of Reduced Vertical Seperation Minimum ( RVSM ) solutions for Hawker 700s and Lear 30/40 series aircraft. Our clienst rely on us to provide and implement solutions for many special needs projects concerning airframe/powerplant as well as avionics issues. SWAS operates a FAA 135 air charter certificate with international travel authority. Our pilots who support the charter/flight operations are all FAA certified and trainde on a semi annual basis at Flight Safety International or other FAA approved training facilities.
